University of Waterloo
The University of Waterloo follows its roots to Waterloo College, the scholastic outgrowth of Waterloo Lutheran Seminary, which was subsidiary with the University of Western Ontario since 1925. When Gerald Hagey accepted the administration of Waterloo College in 1953, he made it his need to secure the stores important to grow the establishment. While the fundamental wellspring of wage for advanced education in Ontario at the time was the commonplace government, the Ontario government made it clear that it would not add to denominational schools and colleges.
